We’re Not Dead, Everything’s Fine

Oh hello,

Lot’s of things have been happening lately… ink things.  And other stuff.  Russell has been partying for days now

and  still hasn’t stopped.  Dan has been hard at work fancifying the cart (See a banner he made for it).  Painting some shelves, getting some art supplies, building a sweet rack

for the kids!  Phill came by to help print his 1st shirt design for the cart, ‘catnipped‘ and he’s helping out on a project for a local band called the Feverbreakers.

They’ve got a funky vibe and sound like a good time.  We actually met them on Church St. the first day we had the cart out.  The Feverbreakers are playing at the North End Studios tomorrow night and they’ll be having their CD release party there on May 15th, check them out!

So this weekend we’ll be wrapping up the partying

and getting out in the public eye for round 2 with the cart’s new and improved debut.  Find us (hint: we’ll be in the same place)

Dan will be there…

(Later in the week- ReligionDeath with Phill, glow-in-the-dark, vinyl records, drum heads, MalletStock, concerts, and printing, printing, printing… hello spring)

Got That Cart Out There

Hey everybody (sorry to keep some of you waiting), business has been getting busy with Spring rapidly approaching.  Last weekend sure felt like spring and we were able to get our cart out on Church St for the 1st time ever!

We wheeled it through the packed marketplace at around 1:30 in the afternoon, right in the midst of prime time!  Maybe not the best idea for day 1 but it was a fun learning experience, let’s say it was intense.  We sold one of Dan’s ‘No Logo’ shirts and met a lot of interesting people.  We’re pulling the cart back into the shop this week for upgrades and weather permitting we’re gonna try and bring it out again next weekend.

Friday night we had a little party at the shop.  It was great time, thanks to all who came and made it fun.  We even got some printing in during the party!  It was our good friend Katie’s birthday so we made a screen out of a drawing she did during the party and printed shirts at 2 in the morning!

For those who didn’t get to come this time, don’t worry we’ll be doing it again very soon!

See some pictures here.

Goodbye March… hello spring!

Boy are we glad the March rain-fest is over!  It’s beautiful weather today and perfect conditions to unveil the Unknown Arts Cart!  We’ll be bringing it down to Church St. in about an hr so come down this afternoon, enjoy the sunshine, and say hello.  We’ll be located near Garcia’s Tobacco Shop and Boloco Burritos.

In other news, this past week we took a trip over to Pearl St. to visit our friend Ben Pacelli at the Spectrum center.  He helps out helping the kids and asked for our advice on renovating their printing set-up.  It gets the job done for the time being but we’ll be working with them to get their set-up a little more user friendly.  We love helping the kids, especially when they want to make t-shirts!

Russell came over the other night to print some new shirts for an upcoming Bearquarium show.  They came out awesome!  I believe the show is tomorrow night at Higher Ground, check it out.

We also did some shirt and posters for our good friends The Vacant Lots.  Jared came by to get the shirts a few days ago and the posters got printed last night at about 11PM.

It was a fun late night work session, wrapping up cart projects, printing posters, and cleaning up for our party tonight.  Check out the rest of the pics at our Facebook page and while you browse here’s the song of the day that’s been in my head since I woke up.  Today’s gonna be a good day…
