The Prints, The Pillow, and Some T-shirts

We’re getting ready for Church St. and this means printing things and making stuff!  Maybe not even to sell… it’s all part of the creation process.  Here’s a super limited print we did for good friend/artist/master carpenter Chris Reid.

We put it up on our wall, right next to Ben’s sick canvas creation that he did back in the early days of UA.  You can also make out the top of our list of ‘things to do’ which was way too long to fit in the picture.

I would also like to mention Dan’s 1st pillow creation (it’s a self-portrait) which was recently completed with the help of our friends Kim and Emily (who oversaw sewing machine operations).  In a world obsessed with the next t-shirt creation Dan Allen made a pillow.  And you can too (or we can for you).  It’s time to start thinking outside the t-shirt!  What better way to class up your home or office than with custom pillows!  Contact us immediately.

As you can see, Unknown Arts pillows are insanely comfortable, Dan fell asleep shortly after testing his out.  See some more pics of the pillow-making here.

In other news, we recently printed some more shirts for our friends at Hostel Tevere.  If you’re ever staying in the Mad River Valley area, check them out!  Until then, stay tuned…

Calling All Female Artists!

Unknown Arts is looking for talented females to help our all-male team assemble a line of shirts for our Church St. cart! If you’re interested, please contact us for more details. If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing your artwork displayed right in the middle of downtown Burlington, this is your chance!

I thought you could only make shirts? OR How we made aprons and stuck it to the man: the Unknown Arts story

We printed our first non-garment job today! Some lovely aprons for the Lakewood Theater Company. Well, I guess aprons technically are garments. I mean our first non t-shirt/sweatshirt/poster job.  You know what I mean, right internet? Anyway here’s Curt hard at work on them (as usual)

Here’s Curt again, flushed with the success of apron victory!

and here’s a close-up to show their fine hand-craftery.

The moral of my story is this: don’t let the The Man keep you down by telling you that you can only get custom hoodies and t-shirts. We can print many flat things, so think outside the shirt.
